Post Poland

Before leaving Poland it felt like I’d been there for a month, although it had only been 10 short days. Now that I’ve been back for a couple it almost feels as if I was never away.

Life’s beginning to seriously gear up for the onslaught of the Edinburgh Festival (new window). The Fringe (new window) officially kicks off this weekend, the Edinburgh International Festival (new window) starts the following weekend, and there are already preview shows (I’m seeing one tonight), other festivals, and all sorts of festivities kicking off.

It looks set to be a giant session this year, if my body can take it! I’ve already been partying pretty hard and there’s an all-night session tonight, a few big nights this weekend, and more to follow next weekend. Here’s hoping I survive… 🙂

  1. You should pull out all the stops to go and see Jack Lukeman at the Assembly rooms, 10:30pm starting Saturday night for 10 days.
He’s an irish singer with a stunning voice and great stage presence. Go early on as this is one show that will fill out and sell out quick.
