I just discovered this great site, a bit like YouTube videos, but with some awesome stuff. Check out this jumps video courtesy of revver.com (new window). These guys are insane…

Roland was blasting away as usual on the pool table last night…

Completely randomly, we were looking at an apartment and met an dodgy Ozzie dude by the name of Adam. He actually beat Roland on the old pool table!

Bangkok is still a bustling metropolis at 9pm, the selling just doesn’t stop.

I bought some new trousers today and on the way back couldn’t help grabbing this snap! Who says Volvo’s can’t be pimped to the max?

My trousers were 220 baht, or roughly £3 British pounds ($5 USD for our international readers!), which is the same cost as five and a half slices of this lovely pizza I had on my way here…

As you can see I’m loving my new pocket sized cameras! Fear not, pictures of the suave new trousers will be posted for your viewing pleasure soon!
It’s not exactly a video blog, but it is a video, shot on my camera (pics taken with my other camera of my camera to follow!), converted, hosted and brough to you by the lovely people at YouTube.com (new window).
It’s a little shot of Bangkok traffic on an early Friday afternoon…
You need flash player to see the video, which makes it super quick to download. If you haven’t already got this indispensable plugin for your browser click here to install it now (new window).
Comments on a postcard…
At long last, that picture that portrayed me as a be-suited handsome chap has been substituted with something which reflects my current life of debauchery a little more appropriately! Comments on a postcard…
RedHat Linux used to be a hugely popular, open source, free to download and use operating system. However, their business model has changed and they are now a more “corporate orientated” organisation. Some would say they’ve sold their soul to the devil, but that’s a bit dramatic for me!
Today I came across a great alternative called CentOS (new window). CentOS essentially create duplicates of the RedHat linux distributions but strip out the RedHat branding, allow you to keep your system up to date for free, and make a few other minor changes. Hooray!
It’s official, I’m now a Bangkok commuter! Yes, this morning I made my first trip to work across the (late) morning Bangkok rush hour. I was the personification of the modern man with my Birkenstocks and my black iPod, nothing but the very latest in uber-cool here you know!
To re-inforce how cheap food is in Thailand, my lunch (sweet & sour chicken on rice) cost the same amount, if not slightly less, than my trip TO work this morning. So my daily round trip costs me the same as two meals a day. It’s a crazy city…
