What the reader meant by monetizing, was not that he does not promote himself making money but the fact that the blog is not linked directly to any source of funds.

As you could see on the blog, there are no ads, no popups, no banners, no Amazon thing, nothing.

If you say that he monetizes by linking to his other pages and books, then there is not a single page on the web that does not monetize. Every page has a link to some other page that could be considered as promotion, and hence monetization.</description>
