I have experienced a very poor services with Fusemail products. A few things, since the time they promise to change any further approach to their system, it’s a lie! First of all, their Sales Representatives are foolish! They promise almost everything to you and please you as much possible, but it turn to be negative when you try to leave their services. For now, I am relief that I am no longer dealing with the company. As this is possibly the worst “Nightmare” ever to be waken up!

“They take your money, and than lie about how excellent their products and services offered by them” Its a pain to hear the truth! Well, the truth will show! Wait! It is showing! LOL! The more the company covers the truth about they system malfunctioning, it will one day release the “Ugly Head” and than go bankrutpy without knowing what happen!

If I was the CEO in J2Global (the parent company of Fusemail), I will close down Fusemail first and run some other company that does work! Like probably “TuffMail” or even some other Mail products that actually works. At least make it 40% working and functional product!
Think it through! Plan head in the future endeavors! Release Fusemail, permanently or temporary for now, or else the pain will reveal soon!

We’re convinced that it’s drastically better than StickK for the kinds of goals that you can graph. For binary goals (you did it or you didn’t) I think StickK is still better.

The real advantage of Beeminder over StickK is that you retain more flexibility, because the commitment is based on your actual data and you can change your commitment as you go. That sounds like it defeats the point of a commitment contract but the catch is that there’s always a one-week delay before changes take effect.

So you do not want to change the command for that one. What I did was change the name of that one to “Firefox (preferred application)”, changed the icon, and moved it further down the list. I added a new entry called “Firefox” and set the command to “start_firefox -P default %u”.

Now everything is working like it used to work.

I am trying to bringing over a Samsung Galaxy Nexus but there are 2 different types that use a sim and I want to make sure which one will work.

Just started using your plugin (v.0.9.1) but running into a (small) problem.
Although I succeed in sending mails via Google SMTP, the ‘From Email’ value is always ignored (either the default value or an entered value), the ‘From Name’ however does seem to work. I therefore always receive the mails from the username used for authentication.
Any thoughts on this behaviour?

There are three different calling cards in Costa Rica. These are the 199, 198 and the 197. With the 197 pre-paid calling card, the language used is English, while the other two are Spanish responses.

There is a scratch off on the cards that reveal a PIN code. When you dial 197, you will be asked to enter the PIN. Next you will hear a response as to the amount of money in Colones left on the card. I certainly questioned the matching issue (as you well know) and I’m not sure that I agree with your opinion on it – although I’ve not read about the universalization test. I think I was looking more at what I had understood you said you were going to do, and then seeing something which I understood as different to that. Interesting to read you feel that the Movember matching was somewhat of a cop-out, I guess perhaps I thought it was but felt you didn’t.

However, that aside, I think what you did was truly remarkable. I’m aware that you spent an enormous amount of time and energy on the task and I think that what you achieved was staggering.

I think that this is an example of you making a decision based on ethical or moral reasons to do something very difficult, and perhaps people may find that hard to understand and possibly react negatively as a result.

I think that the sacrifices you’ve made in the last year are amazing and I salute you for being an inspiration to me and hopefully others.

I don’t think I agree with your argument about counting matched donations. If we’re taking the universalisation test, I think it’s only reasonable to consider the full impact. If every person gave £1 for every £1 they spent, I don’t think it would much matter if people counted matching donations.

Plus, my objective was to match my spending with charitable contributions. In all the cases where my donations were matched, I think it’s reasonable to assume that those matching donations would not have been made were it not for my donation. A person who encourages others to give money by fundraising doesn’t fit into the same category in my mind. Especially in the case of professional fundraising, which I’d guess most of it is.

I find it hard to believe people would criticise true altruism. I certainly don’t and congratulations on a great achivement!

To balance that view I would disagree that you should include matched donations in your own balance sheets: across the population that’s just double-counting (since no doubt Mark Shuttleworth counts the £1 he gave also). Put another way, you talk of ‘generation’ rather than ‘giving’ – but should a fundraiser say they gave £1,000,000 to charity just because they convinced the general public to collectively do so?

I’d say be proud of what you achieved, and don’t devalue it by blowing your trumpet on the back of other peoples’ commitments to bolster your efforts. They did what they did. You did what you did, and that (as far as I’m concerned at any rate) is a wonderful thing.

I appreciate your work on this.. Trying to get this working on HostGator VPS, and getting could not connect error. I am investigating php settings,and I was wondering if you had a phpinfo page on a working host I could compare to mine to help troubleshoot this.

Is this possible to add the shortcut to the desktop instead of doing this every time?

A full upgrade isn’t all that big, but only copying a few files seems like a far more elegant solution. Admittedly, I don’t remember ever waiting for an upgrade to copy, so maybe it’s all the same. My bigger concern is cleaning up old files that have been removed from WordPress. I don’t have a mechanism to do that. Any ideas?

1. You’ll “try” ?! Surely to a man of your calibre it’s trivial to write a script to do that for you

So, for people struggling to make the plugin work, here’s what I did: Use the Twenty Ten theme – I had troubles using other themes. Load a selection of .jpg images sized 940×198 pixels into a directory/folder called ‘header-images’ located just inside the wp-content directory/folder. Install and activate the plugin. View your site’s pages/posts. If the images are ‘sticking’ i.e. not changing, try forcing a reload from the server – ctrl-f5 (pc) or opt-r (mac).

I’m working on a website for a client and I am using your plugin. On my main contact form it works with no issues, I also have a quick contact form in my footer (its a widget). Looking at the source code for the widget, I noticed it was using the mail() function so I changed this to use the wp_mail() function instead as suggested above, but I still can’t send any email from the quick contact form.

Any suggestions.
