I got up at 6:30 this morning and went for a walk in Holyrood Park as the city was coming to life. The sun was just rising over the hills, and the city was coming to life. I spent about two hours taking a few photos and walking along the Crags.

It’s amazing, I forget how powerful physical space can be. The simple act of standing on a hill and watching the city below can bring such peace and calm. I was feeling quite flustered yesterday, and my short walk this morning has made a huge difference, I feel far more together and calm today.

Perhaps not directly, but yesterday’s Monday Morning Message (new window) from Bruce Rector was on the same very subject, finding a quiet space to sit and be alone every day. It’s a funny old world…
