This site is currently undergoing an update. If you spot any problems on this page, please let me know.
CouchSurfing.com is back online after almost 20 hours of down time.
This downtime was especially frustrating for a number of reasons.
It was unannounced. Even on the public developers list, there was no forewarning of the upgrade. No doubt travellers were left stranded while the site was down for almost a full day.
It clearly wasn’t planned well enough. There are so many willing and skilled volunteers who could have helped with this upgrade, if it weren’t for CouchSurfing’s ludicrous NDA.

Typo on point 2 - should be clearly enough. Delete after correction.

Cheers bro, updated that, and I cross posted it to www.opencouchsurfing.org/blog/ as well, so I updated it there also!

Hi again, it seems the Leadership hasn't learned it from two weeks ago! sinceh more then 10h the CS Page is due to Server updated without warning off again - 2h is more or less a joke and not better then over weeks to see due heavy server overload the HC Page isnt reachable! It seems responsible Leadship members dont care about the members, send out before a warning with the reel off times. Where is the problem to announce it a day before that CS page is going offline for a day due maintanace? Seems they dont care about it and see only there work anymore. Very bad communication at all.
