  1. Just had an email from BA with half-price redemption – if they’re the equiv. of 18k, maybe there’s somewhere worthwhile to spend them now?

    1. The fuel surcharge alone seems to be comparable to flying with any other airline. I looked at flying to Tel Aviv for example. The charges are £330, plus £25 to make up for missing miles. It’s still as much as if I were to fly with another airline. Craziness.

    1. Somewhere interesting, far enough away to make it expensive for a normal flight. It looks like the fuel surcharge is the killer with BA. I mean, what’s the point in getting a free flight if I have to buy the bloody fuel? 🙂

      1. Hey, like I say… you might have better luck with another oneworld airline. You can still use the BA miles but their taxes+surcharges may be much less.
